Independent choreographer, dancer, performer and teacher. Artistic director and co-founder of the Menashe Dance House. In his work Gil looks for a presence gentle movement, searching for a human and intimate physical expression. Commissioned to create pieces for companies, dance program, colleges and festivals such as Vertigo Training program(IL), Carmela Dance Gruop(IL), Oberlin College(Ohio), Malta Art Festival, Aura Dance Theatre(Lithuania), Kaet Ensemble(Jerusalem), Maya Dance Theatre(Singapore), Tanz Theater Pforzheim(Germany) and more. Received awards for his productions and choreographies in festivals and competitions in Israel(Mash), Sweden(IL Dance), Germany(Hannover) and Denmark(CICC). In 2021 received the Israeli Ministry of Culture Award for dance and interpretation for his duet piece “Concerto for Mandolin and Strings in C Major by Vivaldi” and in 2022 received the Israeli Ministry of Culture award for emerging choreographer. Born in 1987, Gil has started dancing at the age of 14 in a folk dance group in his home town Pardes-Hanna. as a dancer began his professional way in dance in the Kibbutz Contemporary dance Company and at Vertigo Dance Company, and has since danced with numerous independent choreographers.
